Invitation to Proponents

This Request for Proposal (“RFP”) is an invitation by The County of Wellington (“the Owner”) to potential proponents to submit proposals to provide Architectural Services as described herein.

It is the intention of the Owner to retain an architectural firm (“Prime Consultant”) to provide design services
for a Continuum of Care project (the “Project”) in Fergus, Ontario.

The work included in this RFP is to be awarded and completed in two distinct Phases as follows:

Phase 1 of this RFP will require proponents to quote a lump sum price to complete a schematic design in order to achieve a Class D cost estimate for the completion of the construction budget for the Project. 

Phase 2 of this RFP will require proponents to provide a fee quotation for the provision of all architectural services required to complete the detailed design, specification development, tender call and construction contract administration required to complete the Project. The basis for payment to the successful proponent for Phase 2 of the Project will be as a percentage of construction cost. The award of Phase 2 is not guaranteed and will be contingent on approval of Phase 1 deliverables, capital funding approval, approval by the County of
Wellington Council and satisfactory performance of Phase 1 by the successful proponent, in the Owner’s sole and absolute discretion.
